Water cutting with the AWS hnique

Abrasive Water Suspension- cutting technique is a contact-free and vibration-free water cutting method that can be used to cut steel, concrete and a range of other materials over 1 metre thick. It involves using a mixture of water and corundum sand that is sprayed at pressures up to 2500 bar as a cutting medium. The cuts produced using this method are extremely precise and only a few millimetres wide.

Since this process is cold, it does not alter the component. This method produces no dust, gas, smoke or sparks, making it suitable for use in even the most volatile areas.

Ideal for all potentially explosive areas, the AWS technique produces great results when used in the petrochemical sector, as well as in the pharmaceutical, chemical and foodstuff industries.
